Let me introduce myself. My name is Morning Song Manning.

I was raised on the Duck Valley Indian reservation in northern Nevada and southern Idaho. I am a citizen of the Shoshone and Paiute Tribes but the rest of my tribal background comes from the Chippewa (Ojibwe) and Cree of Montana and the Hopi of the southwest.

I am also aware that I have some European ancestory that I know little of. From what little I do know, I have ancestory from Ireland and France. However, I am Morning Song, a young Native woman, here to give you my perspective and to enthusiastically invite you to send your response and thoughts on the issues that I discuss here at wisconsingaming.com!

I am pleased to have the opportunity to express my interests and experiences with you.

There is one interest of mine that is my main and central focus in life. I cannot help but to share this with you, for it is who I am and what I stand for as a Newe mo-go'nii (Indian woman, Northern Paiute).

I have a deep and sincere passion for American Indian issues, past, present and future alike.

The learning that I have experienced brings me to the reality of how tremendously wide the spectrum of the Indigenous peoples of this continent is.

Presently, I am writing about some of the issues that face Native America today. Gaming is one such issue. Please feel free to make me aware of your perspective on these issues. We can learn from each other that way.

This allows my awareness and respect for each of these nations to grow each day. My inspiration lies in the writings and words of those who have truths to pass on. My love for writing begins here.
